A shankha is a hollow shell that is found to be very precious in Hindu mythology. The availability of this shank is very rare. The shankha is a robust yellow stone with a shiny coating.  The overall shape of the shell is like a conical oblong. To make a sound, there is a hole on the topmost of the oblong. This is the sound-producing element that produces loud sharp and shrill sounds. There is no special hole that is man-made engraved on the surface to make the sound. It's the beauty of nature that it's created from the ocean surface.
